A lot of people have been asking me recently about Facebook and privacy. This is a very touchy subject, as the average Facebook user has a 7th grade “Tech Level”, and Facebook privacy practically requires a “Masters Level”. For anyone wanting to make sure that you control your Privacy on Facebook, here are a few pointers:

1. Create Lists: One of the best things that you can do to control your privacy is to create lists. A Facebook list divides your friends into social groups, that you can then control what they see or don’t see on Facebook. A good rule of thumb for lists to create, which Facebook will soon create automatically for you are: Immediate Family, Extended Family, Offline Friends, Online-Only Friends, and Random People I Don’t Know.

2. Set “Friends Only” As Your default: Another good thing to do is to make sure that if someone is not your friend, they cannot see anything about you except your profile picture and friends. This keeps you safe from “Facebook Stalkers” and internet trolls.

I will provide a little more later on, but if you would like more info on Facebook Privacy, check out their own Privacy site here.

In case you haven’t heard, the word on the street is that Apple is buying millions of Qualcomm CDMA chipsets (The chips that Verizon uses for its mobile network and devices). Speculators have always held to the assumption that AT&T’s exclusivity deal with Apple ends as of January 1st, 2012. That would explain why Apple is buying these CDMA chips. They would buy them now in order to get them ready for a January launch.

As an AT&T iPhone user, I am constantly struggling with service issues. If the rumor holds, and Apple & Verizon launch an iPhone 4 this January, rest assured I will throw my current iPhone on Ebay, and jump over to Verizon in a heartbeat.

Will you?
